Every year in the spring, Kids Day on the
Farm is put on by the Ag Club. Elementary schools from around the area
are invited to the DSU indoor arena where they get to see farm animals,
crops raised by farmers, a farm safety demonstration, and roping
demonstrations. This gives kids a knowledge of where the food they eat
comes from and how a farm/ranch operates.
Besides Kids Day on the Farm, the Ag Club hosts the high school Roughrider
Judging Competition in the DSU indoor arena.
These two events are part of many hosted and produced by the Ag Club.
