In June of 2004, Ms Holly Krebsbach represented DSU at an American Institue of CPA's (AICPA) conference in Atlanta. DSU was one of 25 schools in the United States selected to attend. Holly is a senior accounting major at DSU who comes from Steele, North Dakota. In August of 2004 she spoke at the State CPA convention in Medora about her experiences in Atlanta.

During the 2003-2004 school year, DSU graduates passed 35.7% of all parts of the CPA exam taken. This was the second best pass rate in the State among public schools. (UND and Jamestown beat us.)

Scott Hanson, associate professor of accounting, was named the Distinguished Professor of the Year for DSU for the 2003-2004 school year.

Dr. Carol Mielke, adjunct professor of accounting, is serving on the North Dakota State Board of Accountancy.
