FERNANDO QUIJANO ECON105 FALL98
Need to work on accent a little more or else write everything on the board. Otherwise you're a good teacher.
I really liked this instructor but when he didn't write on the board ut was sometimes hard to understand.
He seemed to have unrealistic expectation for students and when they didn't meet them, treated them with disrespect. The
most challenged class I've taken.
Instructor communicated with students outside of class-I thought that showed that he cared about the students-made me
want to do well in the course.
I really enjoy Mr. Quijano's technique of teaching. He keeps students interested and at same time you learn required
material. He is a very valuable asset to Dickinson State University
Interesting class-but very technical for a 100 level class. We didn't do work assignments that could be handed in aspect of
the grade just the tests. Tests were very difficult.
I felt that the course gave me much incite into Economics. I liked the fact that we covered both Micro and Macro
Principled. The instructor was/is very knowledgeable.
There needs to be a better course book to review the information he is giving the class. I felt his information was better and
more understandable then the text. Respect for students is not in Mr. Quijano's priority list-need improvement is students
relations in all areas. NEED NEW BOOK!!!!! This class should be made a 4 credit class so more information can be
discussed and cover in more detail Micro and Macro Economics to taking Econ 101 & 102.
I really enjoyed taking this class and I will continue taking classes from Fernando. The only complaint that I have is when
he humiliated a student twice when he showed her failing test as an example to the class.
Seems to be very important about the subject gets points across effectively. As an instructor however, I strongly feel he
needs to make himself available to students.
Mr. Quijano makes the class interesting and keeps the students focused.
