Evaluations Macro-economics Fall 1992

I thought this course was taught excellently, but I would have liked more help with the portfolio assignment.

I learned a lot. He was a very interesting teacher who knows his stuff!

I think you sometimes should slow down and explain things a little more. Probably should have another test or two.

I felt the course was taught well, but the material was way over my head.

The teacher knew his econ very well, but I think he had a hard time bringing his knowledge down to the student's understanding.

Need to have a few more grades and assignments for points.

You should give weekly quizzes, so students can know whether or not they understand the lecture material for sure. Also worksheets with questions to answer would be helpful.

I enjoyed this class. It was probably the most challenging one here at UMC. I feel it took more work than most students are used to. The instructor offered chances for outside work. He was very clear in his expectations and explained matter that was important and what he would test on. His lectures were much more helpful than the book.

Should have more than two tests. It is a tremendous amount of information to jam into just two test. Possibly a few homework problems and use more real life examples to help explain. They make it easier to understand. It was nice having you as a teacher and knowing you. You are very nice person and seem to be concerned with the students and want to learn. I feel that is very necessary for a teacher.

The test in here seemed way too wordy and not down to the point, the same goes with some lectures, it would be easier to understand without all the symbols that are so similar in the lectures.

Instructor did well, but should maybe have had more tests, quizzes or assigned homework to gauge student progress. Two tests is not enough in my opnion to grade for a course. There was too much information covered for one test.

Fernando was a good instructor, knew how to explain subject matter and keep up class interest by his attitude.
