FERNANDO QUIJANO ECON201 FALL95

Fernando taught the course with enthusiasm and was very interested in helping us when we needed it. He made the class fun and interesting.

Life is good until you take one of his classes, then life is great. He's one of the best teachers I've ever had.

I feel that the material was taught at the proper level and that it is outgoing of the professor to hold special study sessions for people who needed help. I would definitely take another class from this instructor.

I enjoyed this course and learned a lot through the examples and especially the study session.

I enjoyed this class and the instructor. I thought he was fair and interesting. I did not feel the book required for this class was helpful. It was hard to understand. I learned the material from my notes.

I enjoyed taking this course from Fernando and would probably take another from him (macro economics). When asking for help, he provided a lot of guidance provided the student first made an effort to understand the problem first. I can respect him for this.

The study sessions were extremely effective and a great study aid.

I think he has expectations that everybody should know what he is teaching, and for many of us it is our first economics class of any kind. He has a great economic mind and he will go to fast at times. He did have study groups to help us before the test which was nice.

I thought this was an excellent course. It was nice that it was well organized and specific. Teacher did a great job explaining and giving examples. I would take other courses from this teacher. I do wish he was in his office during office hours more often.

Tests are to wordy and should be a little bit more clear on what he wants.

Quijano was never in his office during his hours. His test was very hard. If you pass his test he gave you a lot of his attention is you didn't he just ignored you. He gave you the answers and questions to his test but rephrased the question so you didn't understand it. A lot of the students I've too seem to have a D average to.

I believe Fernando Quijano is an excellent teacher!!!

I feel that this instructor is very enthusiastic and I think this is a very important aspect. He was extremely kind to all students. He definitely knew his information. All in all he was an excellent instructor. I learned very much in this class.

He is a good teacher. Taking his own time work on studying for tests was very helpful. The homework was not very effective because of lack of understanding.

I think that Mr. Quijano is a very excellent teacher and has a very knowledgeable background of this subject. It also helps with him involved in his own business. He is very kind and is fun to be involved with economics class. He makes the class interesting and exciting. I enjoyed this class with Mr. Quijano and plan to take others.

At the beginning of this course I had heard such negative comments about Fernando. Keeping in mind this is a University..... Fernando was pleasant, courteous, helpful, encouraging, and excited about his material. The course contains tough material he did his best to teach and encourage learning. Of the teachers I have had at this University-I am a senior, And he is one of the best!

Those who do poorly absolutely cannot be applying themselves as students.

I felt this course was one of the best I've taken at DSU. Although it is very difficult, I feel like I learned a lot about the subject. Mr. Quijano is a very effective teacher and appears to care about how students do in his class.
