FERNANDO QUIJANO ECON201 SPRING95

Mr. Quijano's teaching style has problems that need to be addressed before the University gets sued. I think he has potential to be a very effective instructor with the proper guidance. He fails to realize who his customer is.

He is one of the best teachers I've had all year. He knows what he's talking about, and he teaches it well.

Micro-Economics is a very difficult course, but Mr. Quijano was very aware of this and did everything he could to ensure all of the students understand the material. He lectures the material, wrote it on the board and he explains everything. Mr. Quijano was always available during his office hours and even sit up times outside of hours if necessary. He also allowed students to call him at home. I am looking forward to taking more courses bought by Mr. Quijano.

This is probably the handiest 200 level course. I've taken, but it is also one of the classes I've learned more about than any other course. The instructor was fair and obviously knew what he was teaching.

There are few points I would like to bring up on the subject of treating students with respect:

1. I felt that Mr. Quijano needs work in this area.

2. Students grades were given out loud in front of the whole class.

3. Students were put down when they answered questions, therefore no one wanted to.

Economics is a tough course and I think the 2 classes offered should be split into 4 semesters, so most students would have time to grasp all the concepts.

Fernando was a great instructor. Though his tests were somewhat hard, it was definitely a learning experience. Great job teaching.

Need to make a different 3^rd test. Make the questions on your test easier to comprehend.

Fernando is a great instructor. He is very knowledgeable. The course was challenging, yet very fair. I can honestly say Fernando is one of the best teachers I've had in my schooling.

Fernando needs to be on time. He is continually 5 minutes late thus making us stay longer.

I think Mr. Quijano presented the subject very well. He has determination of grades but I would take another class from him.

I enjoy taking classes from Fernando. He teaches the subjects well, and does his best to make you understand.

Fernando is a good instructor for Economics. Needs to keep comments about smart and dumb students to himself. He should not ask us to give him a good evaluation.
