Project description:
For the first edition of Economics: Explore and Apply,
Fernando and Yvonn Quijano developed a set of instructional materials
designed with the primary purpose of maximizing the effectiveness of
visual aids in learning.
The companion website study guide contains multiple-choice
questions designed around the graphics in the textbook. The questions
focus on the understanding of the concepts illustrated in the graphs,
which also relate to the most relevant concepts presented throughout
the text. The graphs are identical reproductions of the originals, except
for the omissions necessary to build interesting questions. The language
of the questions ascribes strictly to the language of the textbook.
All answers, right and wrong, contain substantial explanations that
greatly contribute to learning, and even the wrong choices reinforce
the concepts and relate to the surrounding material.
A new and exciting development is a set of QuickTime
scripts that bring to life the content on “Understanding Graphs.”
The new simulations allow students to sit and watch as graphs come alive,
with step by step explanations of how they are constructed and used.
