Kenneth W. Haught
has an M.F.A. in Theatre Arts from Mankato State University, MN, a Ph.D. in
Speech Communications from Wayne State University, MI, an M.A. in Oral Interpretation
from Emerson College, MA, and a B.A. in Theatre from Clarion State College,
PA. He has extensive experience in all aspects of theatre at the college and
community level and has worked professionally as an actor and stage manager.
Ken teaches a wide range of both theatre and communication courses including
Voice and Dialects, Oral Interpretation, Understanding Film and Television,
Acting I, Directing, Stage Management and Theatre Administration, Advanced Public
Speaking, Persuasion, and Intercultural Communication. He directs at least two
shows a year, occasionally designs scenery and assists with the Forensics program.
Ken is also the chair of the Department of Fine Arts. He was Director of Forensics
at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota before coming to DSU.
Ron Gingerich
has an M.F.A. in Theatre Arts from the University of Alabama and a B.A. in Theatre
Arts from California State University, Long Beach. He previously taught at the
Community College of Southern Nevada and has a lengthy resume in professional
stage management, technical theatre, and directing. Ron teaches a wide range
of courses in the theatre arts including Introduction to Theatre, Acting II,
Advanced Acting, Creative Dramatics, Theatre Practicum, Stage Technology, Theatre
History and Theatrical Design. He serves as Designer and Technical Director
for the Theatre Program and directs at least two shows a year.
Pattie L.
Carr has an M.A. in Human Bioenergetics from Ball State University, IN,
and a B.S. from Montana State University with a major in Nutrition and a minor
in Dance. She also has graduate level training in Dance Medicine from North
Dakota State University. As of Fall 2001 a full-time instructor of Theatre and
Communication at DSU, she teaches courses in Stage Movement, Modern Dance and
Costume Construction and serves as costume coordinator for all productions and
as choreographer for any productions in need of those services. She is also
Dickinson State's Wellness Program Coordinator.
Don Ehli
has a B.A. in Theatre Arts and a B.S. in Theatre Education from Dickinson State
University. He also has extensive experience with community and high school
theatre in the state. He teaches Acting I, Oral Interpretation, Stage Makeup
and Public Speaking as an adjunct at DSU. He frequently directs productions,
as well. Don also works at Dickinson Title Company as an abstractor.
